Hamilton Heights tennis had a strong showing at the Gwinnett Tennis Thanksgiving Championships this past weekend in Lawrenceville, GA.

Yike Liu took home the title in the Boys’ 18 & under draw winning all 4 of his matches over the weekend. (R16 6-0, 6-3 | Quarterfinal 6-2, 6-1 | Semifinal 6-2, 6-0 | Final 6-1, 6-0)

Shufan Cai Finished 3rd in the Girls’ 16 & under draw, finishing strong after a disappointing 3rd set semifinal loss. (R32 6-0, 6-1 | R16 6-1, 6-2 | Quarterfinal 6-0, 6-2 | Semifinal 1-6, 6-4 [4-10] | 3rd Place Match 6-2, 6-0)

Yihe Zhang Won the consolation bracket of the Boys’ 18 & under Draw, bouncing back after a tough loss in his round of 16 match (R16 1-6, 6-2 [9-11] | C-Semi 6-3, 6-2 | C-Final 6-3, 6-5)
