Hawks Drop Season Opener in Mississippi

The Hamilton Heights Christian Academy Hawks Boys Basketball team traveled to Columbus, MS on Saturday for a season-opening matchup against powerhouse, Tupelo High School at the SSP Tip-Off Classic.

The Hawks led by 3 at the half and by as much as 18 early in the 4th but ultimately fell by a final score of 89-88, falling to 0-1 on the season.

“We have a very talented group of guys and they did a lot of great things for us tonight. Unfortunately, we just made too many mistakes late in the game and let them back in it. We will use this game to learn and improve. WE WILL BE BETTER.” – Coach Stephen Cook

NEXT UP: The Hawks travel to Murfreesboro where the Boys and Girls teams will both face off against Franklin Road Christian Academy on Friday night. The Girls play at 4:30 PM CST and then the Boys play at 6:30 PM CST
